Mobile Phone and Smart Watch Ban

In accordance with the government decree N001/MINEDUC/2018 of 11/07/2018 prohibiting the use of mobile phones in schools by students Green Hills Academy has implemented a no mobile phone and no smart watch policy. If a student is found possessing a phone or smart watch on campus the phone is confiscated and can only be returned to a guardian. Additionally, an agreement will need to be signed by a guardian and the student promising not to bring in the device again.

Please note that in cases of the offense being repeated the student will face expulsion from GHA. This consequence is in accordance with the above stated government decree.

Parent Handbook

We are debuting our new Parent Handbook. Please download it below. It outlines all of our procedures and policies. Below you will also find our fees and our calendar.

Healthy living

In an effort to promote health and wellbeing among our students and staff we are making the following changes:

  • We ask you to send your child to school with a reusable water bottle with their name clearly labeled. We ask that you do not send in single-use plastic water bottles.
  • Lunches this year we will have the following: red meat once per week, a vegetarian meal once per week and fish or chicken once per week.
  • We will be serving more fruit and yogurt for snack and decreasing the amount of baked goods served for snack.
  • We ask all students get enough sleep. Please follow the guide below from the Sleep Foundation to help determine how much sleep your child should be getting.

  1. Nursery aged children: 10-13 hours per night
  2. Students aged 6-13 years: 9 - 11 hours per night
  3. Teenagers: 8 - 10 hours per night
