Welcome!
The first day of school! Our first day of school is September 4th. We can't wait to see everyone and hear all about how you have spent your summer break! | Tuition If you have not done so yet, please pay your tuition fees. They are now overdue. If you pay for the whole school year upfront you are eligible for a 5% reduction in fees. If you have paid a deposit but not tuition fees, we are holding your spot until August 29th. Please note that Grade 1 50/50 is now full and closed. Grade 2 English and Grade 4 English have only a handful of spots left. | School hours For the 2018-19 school year our hours are as follows:

Meet the Teacher Day: August 31st Come meet your teacher on Friday August 31st anytime from 1:30pm-3:00pm. This is for students in Nursery, Primary and Middle School. New High School students are invited in at the same time to learn more about the IGCSE and IB Programs. | Curriculum Night: September 13th GHA will host an information session on the curriculum from 5:30-7:30pm in the dining hall on September 13th. This is applicable for all GHA families. | Extra Curricular Activities start September 17th Our Extra Curricular Activities (ECAs) start the week of September 17th and will run for 10 weeks from 3:45-4:45pm. Principals will send more information on the classes being offered. |

Mobile Phone and Smart Watch Ban
In accordance with the government decree N001/MINEDUC/2018 of 11/07/2018 prohibiting the use of mobile phones in schools by students Green Hills Academy has implemented a no mobile phone and no smart watch policy. If a student is found possessing a phone or smart watch on campus the phone is confiscated and can only be returned to a guardian. Additionally, an agreement will need to be signed by a guardian and the student promising not to bring in the device again.
Please note that in cases of the offense being repeated the student will face expulsion from GHA. This consequence is in accordance with the above stated government decree.

Uniforms Our uniforms are now in! Stop by the uniform shop to purchase your uniforms anytime from 8:00am-4:00pm Monday - Friday. | Stationery Parents will pay a fee this year for consumable stationery and the school will supply it directly to the classroom. This saves parents the hassle of purchasing the stationery separately. Please note the school will not supply calculators or dictionaries as part of stationery. | Want to learn more about Cambridge? Healthy living
- We ask you to send your child to school with a reusable water bottle with their name clearly labeled. We ask that you do not send in single-use plastic water bottles.
- Lunches this year we will have the following: red meat once per week, a vegetarian meal once per week and fish or chicken once per week.
- We will be serving more fruit and yogurt for snack and decreasing the amount of baked goods served for snack.
- We ask all students get enough sleep. Please follow the guide below from the Sleep Foundation to help determine how much sleep your child should be getting.
- Nursery aged children: 10-13 hours per night
- Students aged 6-13 years: 9 - 11 hours per night
- Teenagers: 8 - 10 hours per night
