BIG Announcement
Dear Students, Parents, & ELAs:
This semester (only), the Moodle Spanish courses will be trying out something new to see if it impacts/helps students. All Moodle Spanish courses will allow a one week make-up work period. During this make-up work period, students will have a chance to (re)do teacher graded assignments in order to improve their grades. This means that students can potentially (re)do: RLCs, eLFs, Hablar, Escribir, Actividades Culturales, and Proyectos Finales (not Moodle quizzes). Completing all currently assigned/regular work (especially the final exam AND final project) are first priority. Then, missing assignments should be the second priority and redos third priority. As students near the end of the course, they should do the following (in order):
Make sure to complete the Final Project AND Final Exam (these are 2 different assignments) to their BEST ability possible.
Complete Missing Assignments:
Review their “Grades” link/section and identify/take note of any 0s that are missing assignments in the last quarter/grading period (Quarter 2 for Block and Quarter 4 for YL).
Email their teachers an itemized list of the assignments (making sure to include the specific unit/lesson/assignment name for each) that they are missing and for which they need the directions.
(The teacher will reply to the student with the directions to complete the assignments that they listed. -- please allow at least 24 hours for a response. )
The student will email their work to the teachers, making sure to include their (students’) names, along with the specific unit/lesson/assignment name for each in order for it to be graded.
Complete Missed RLCs for up to half credit:
If a student did not attend any RLC (for whatever reason), he/she can receive the archive and complete/submit the assignment via email for up to half credit.
Redo Low Grades:
Review their “Grades” link/section and identify/take note of any low grades on RLCs, eLFs, Hablar, Escribir, Actividades Culturales in the last quarter/grading period (Quarter 2 for Block and Quarter 4 for YL).
Email their teachers an itemized list of the assignments (making sure to include the specific unit/lesson/assignment name for each) that they want to redo and for which they need the directions/their work.
(The teacher will reply to the student with the directions/their work to complete the assignments that they listed.)
The student will email their work to the teachers, making sure to include that it is a redo, their (students’) names, along with the specific unit/lesson/assignment name for each in order for it to be graded.
**Work completed/sent to Early Calendar teachers after May 7th will not be graded.**
