Big picture

Community Clean Up Day

During the month of February, our students discussed ways to show Citizenship and Community. It was important to our students to be able to give back to our community members that continually support us. We designated February 28th as Community Clean Up Day. Each class used their P.E. time to travel to a section of New Home and pick up trash, tumble weeds, and other debris. Our kids loved this experience and got to understand how we can give back to our community.

Higher Education and Career Exploration

Mrs. Kaldenberg is working with students to explore what their future holds. We are looking at different colleges and universities, trade schools, and military options. We know they still have many years to find their passions and pursue their interests, but it's always a fun time to get their minds starting to think about what they want to be when they grow up. One way to help explore different careers is by examining Career Clusters. 3rd through 6th grade are completing interest inventories and finding the Career Cluster that most aligns with their interests to explore the different job options. It's never too early to start talking with your child about jobs they might find intriguing.

We love our little Leopards!
