We Are Thankful For . . .
Each class was asked to name one thing they are thankful for to be included in the Thanksgiving newsletter. Family was at the top of the list for Mrs. Vermeire's kindergarten, Mrs. Eledge's first grade and Mrs. Williams' third grade. Mrs. Glenda is grateful that she had an opportunity to return to Africa and meet her family for the first time. Mrs. Penley's second grade class surprised her by saying they were thankful for their teacher! With homelessness in the news so much, Mrs. Ellison's second grade students appreciate their homes and shelter. Mrs. Westbrook's second grade decided after their study at Veteran's Day, they were thankful for the military who keep our country safe. It is because of them, students are allowed to attend school. Ms. Cagle's third grade also mentioned how thankful they were for their freedom. Mrs. Archer's pre-k students are thankful for their moms and dads. Friends at Austinville were first on Mrs. Bush's kindergarten list. Fourth and fifth grade students agreed they were thankful for Ms. Maritza, Mrs. Joyce and Mr. Mike.
Austinville teachers said they are thankful for an understanding and compassionate administrator. Beth Hales has a heart for Austinville's children and a passion for meeting students' needs whether it be physical, emotional or academic. We hope your Thanksgiving is a season of thankfulness and reflection of the most important blessings in your life.
