The third graders will be doing a half-time performance on Tuesday, January 28 at The Woodlands High School at 7:00. GIRLS ON THE RUN
Registration for the spring GOTR ends this Monday, January 20th. If you would like to participate in GOTR this spring please register by January 20th.
This spring, Powell Elementary will again be a site for Girls on the Run (GOTR). It will be open to girls in 3rd and 4th grade.
GOTR is a 10-week program where girls develop essential skills to help them establish lifetime appreciation for health and fitness. It is a program that inspires girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind! During the program, we also focus on the importance of teamwork, healthy relationships, and the role they can play in positively affecting and shaping our world. The girls will influence their community through a service project and physically and emotionally prepare for a celebratory 5K event!
The spring season begins the week of February 3rd. We meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00. If you are interested, please go to www.gotrgreaterhouston.org to get more information and register your daughter for the spring. We are looking forward to a great season! If you have any questions, feel free to email Pam Owens at powens@conroeisd.net.
