Burj Khalifa constructed started September 21, 2004 and it was opened on January 4, 2010.
Architects
The architects are Adrian Smith, William F. Baker, George J. Efstathiou, and Marshall Strabala. Sporadic protests continued in 2005, with the largest labor protest in the history of the UAE in September 2005, when 7,000 workers staged a three-hour protest. In March 2006, 2,500 workers rioted at the Burj Khalifa site, demanding a raise in their pay.

Materials
Liquid concrete into its 55,000 tonne steel rebar frame, during the night time hours and structural steel.
For the base of the Burj Khalifa, a Y-shaped mat was chosen and had to be made of reinforced concrete supported by almost 200 concrete piles.

Challenges During Costruction
Transporting materials to staggering heights, stabilising such a massive structure, and creating a basis for it that could withstand its incredible weight.
