********************** Congratulations ******************************

THEATRE CONGRATULATIONS: At the Texas Thespian Festival this weekend, Plano Theatre students competed in various Individual Events. Both Tanner Lewis and Rachel Katz were National Qualifiers for their performances in the Monologue competition. This ranks them among young, superior actors around the country, and entitles them to compete at the International Thespian Society’s National Festival!

Please take the time to congratulate these students for sharing their work and talents!

ART CONGRATULATIONS: Please congratulate the following students for making it into the semifinal round of judging for the Young Masters Essay Competition:

  • Aparna Krishnan, “An Ascension to the Afterlife of the Asmat”
  • Sydney Landers, “Aiming for the Divine”
  • Tailai Liu, “Crossing the Rubicon”

There were 287 submissions and these students have made it into the top 15. There will only be 4 essays chosen from those 15 to be included in the Young Masters exhibition at the Dallas Museum of Art, so as you can see, like the Oscars, it truly is an honor simply to be nominated!
