Fighting Germs at Bridge Valley
On a related note to our superintendent's email yesterday regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19),we want to share that at Bridge Valley we routinely take measures to reduce the spread of all germs in our classrooms and maintain a healthy environment. Our custodial staff literally work day and night to keep our building clean and to reduce germs. Student desks, sinks, bathrooms, and other surfaces are cleaned routinely to create healthful learning spaces. Students are encouraged to wash hands, and hand sanitizer stations are located throughout our cafeteria. During this cold and flu season, as well as throughout the year, we aim to keep our staff and students healthy and happy.

Spotlight on Support Staff
This month we introduce to you Miss Julia Wetzel. This is Miss Wetzel's first year at Bridge Valley. She lives with her Dad and three younger siblings. They enjoy going to Long Beach island every summer for vacation. Miss Wetzel feels the best part of her job is being able to make an impact on our students. She loves being able to support the students not just academically but socially and emotionally as well. She finds it so rewarding to see the children make progress and know that she has played a part in helping them unlock their potential.
Something Miss Wetzel feels strongly about her work is the importance of treating all children equally- no matter what background, level of support, or classroom they come from. She believes that children truly thrive in an environment where they are given the support, respect, and encouragement that they need. We feel lucky to have Mrs. Wetzel as part of the Bridge Valley family.
Community Connections with Dr. Kopicki
Please join Dr. Kopicki in the Bridge Valley library on Tuesday, March 3rd from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. for “Community Connections,” one of a series of parent meetings scheduled to take place in each of our schools.
These meetings are designed to encourage frank conversations about our shared vision for the future of our schools. We hope you can find time to attend; we look forward to hearing your feedback and ideas.
A video introduction can be seen on the website homepage at www.cbsd.org/communityconnections.

Car Line Safety
Drop-Off can be a very busy time at BVE. We understand that many of you need to get to work on time. We ask that you follow a few, very important guidelines for the safety of our students & staff.
- Follow the speed limit, it is posted at 5 mph.
- When dropping off in the morning, please pull up as far as possible to allow for multiple cars to drop off at once. It is unsafe to have traffic waiting out on Sugar Bottom Road
- Only park in designated parking spots; do not park along the railing or in the fire lane.
Thank you
