Cumberland Trace After-School
October Newsletter
A Word from the Site Supervisor
Dear Parents,
October brings lots of excitement, from Halloween, to chilly weather, and even some new exciting additions to our program! First, I am excited to announce that we will begin doing a general store every Friday to raise money for future parties. Items will range from $0.10-$1.00 and will be things like special snacks and trinkets. If you would like to have your child participate, you may either send them with money, or you may give me or Ms. Cheyenne an envelope or bag with your child’s name on it, and we will save it for Fridays. Second, with cold days and early nights ahead, please be sure children have jackets for when we go outside.
Lastly, we will be kicking off a new reward system into gear for fantastic behavior. Any child that ends the day with a clip above “Ready To Learn” will receive points:
Green: 1 point
Blue: 2 points
Purple: 3 points
Points may be cashed in for small prizes, or saved for larger prizes! Prizes so far include:
5 Points:
Coupon for first to get snack
Coupon to sit wherever you want for the day
Coupon to be any staff’s helper for the day
Coupon for pajama day
Coupon to choose first game to get out during play time
15 Points:
Coupon to bring in show and tell item
Coupon to decide group game for the day
Coupon to bring a costume to wear for the day
25 Points:
Pick 1-3 colors and Mr. Tyler will make a custom paracord bracelet for you
Thank you,
Mr. Tyler

Election Day All-Day Program Registration
The cost is $25 per day per child. We will provide breakfast and an afternoon snack, but students will need to bring a sack lunch and a drink. Please call our office at 270-842-4281.

Community Education is offering a free flu shot clinic in conjunction with CDS #10 Pharmacy. It will be in our conference room on Nov. 6 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Most insurance companies cover flu shots, if your insurance company does not, the shots will be $25-30.
