Biography
Early Childhood:
Lived in Northern Ireland in a family home called Little Lea.Jacks favorite books growing up were, Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, and ,The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
College:
In 1916 Lewis was accepted at Oxford University as well as Cambridge University. After he entered college he soon volunteered for active duty in WWI to serve the British Army. After the war he soon returned to Oxford.
His Works
His 1st book was the pilgrims regress in 1933. He wrote a volume on 16th Century English Literature for the Oxford History of English Literature Series in 1954. He Recieved the Gollacz Memorial Prize for Literature in 1937 for his book, The Allegory of Love. From May 2nd until November 28, The Guardian published 31 "Screwtape Letters" in weekly installments
