Heights Happenings
Eastern Heights Elementary School, October 2021
Welcome back!
Dear Eastern Heights Elementary Family,
Welcome fall! This is such a fun season full of cooler weather, shorter days, sweaters, apple picking, falling leaves and pumpkin spice everything!
Please make sure to follow us on Facebook to stay informed of everything that is happening at Eastern Heights Elementary.

Beginning this month we will begin many of our intervention groups for our students. This is a time where teachers will work with students to provide specific support to help your child become even more successful in their current grade. If you ever have a concern about your child's progress please reach out to your child's teacher. We will be having Fall Conferences in November. Your child's teacher will reach out to you soon to begin scheduling these conferences. Please note that we will offer a few different options for parents this year: In person conferences, virtual and phone conference.
Just a few reminders:
- Please make sure that your student is remembering to bring a clean mask with them each day, it is a good idea to give them a backup in their book bag too.
- Please encourage your student to exemplify the "3 Bees"- ask your student about this, they will be happy to tell you all about them!
- Thank you for helping us keep drop off and arrival running smoothly, we appreciate you! We understand that this takes time, and you will see more important reminders below.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at any time.
In closing, please know that my door is always open to you. I heartily welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this year. Let us always keep our students the primary focus of our work. I look forward to celebrating our collective successes during the 2021-2022 school year.
I look forward to seeing and meeting many of you at our open house on Tuesday, October 5th!

Please make sure that your student is remembering to bring a clean mask with them each day, it is a good idea to give them a backup in their book bag too.
No. 1: COVID-19 safety precautions will remain a priority in our daily happenings.
Custodians and maintenance staff will place utmost emphasis on sanitization of school buildings, adhering to the cleaning guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Masks must be worn by students in preschool through sixth grade until further notice.
Visitors to our buildings are required to wear masks.
A critical reminder: Students and staff should not come to school if they are showing ANY signs of illness, such as headache or fever, cough, sneezing, shortness of breath, stomachache, etc.
This cannot be overemphasized: Please do not come to school if you are feeling ill.
The CDC provides excellent guidance on symptoms of illness and symptoms of COVID-19.
