Administrative Blast
Week 29 - March 26, 2023
Dear Coonley Parents/Guardians,
During our last staff professional day (March 17th), teachers and staff spent time reflecting on our school's current vision and mission and our hopes for our students as they graduate from Coonley and go onto high school, college, career and civic life. We are working to update our mission and vision as well as establishing school values. Through this process, there will be opportunities for all members of our community to share their input. I invite you to share your input by completing this survey. Paper copies will also be available during Parent/Teacher Conferences. The survey will remain open through April 14th.
Please note, there will not be an Admin Blast on April 2nd. The next Admin Blast will be on Sunday, April 9th.
Have a relaxing and fun Spring Break!
Warmly,
Ms. Humphrey

Social Emotional Learning
No Place for Hate
Students, staff and teachers have had an opportunity to sign the pledge. We hope parents will be next to sign the pledge. There will be opportunities at Parent/Teacher Conferences to sign the pledge.
7 Mindsets
In the month of March, students are learning the mindset, Live to Give. This week's Live to Give objective is Receive Gracefully.
Receive Gracefully – One of the hardest things for people to deal with when they start living their dreams is that they’re uncomfortable receiving the new and wonderful things that come into their lives. They may not feel worthy or know how to react. As a result, when opportunity knocks or people want to help them, they shut the door and don’t allow themselves to accept what the universe is offering them. The problem is that these gifts could be a source of joy, fulfillment, and opportunity to their lives. If we don’t receive gracefully, we cut off the cycle of giving and limit our own potential
Review the parent newsletter (linked below) for ideas on how you can reinforce this mindset at home.
