Wow, the last week of the 2022 school year is already here! What an amazing year it has been!

Exciting news! The turf is complete on the playground and the fences will be down on Wednesday. It looks amazing and we can’t wait to get out there to play on it!

Last week the senior class went to Pine Valley for camp. We all had so much fun, the kids were awesome, the camp parents fantastic and even the weather behaved! A huge thank you to our camp parents, Deane, Heather, Steph, Ank and Bec for all their help in ensuring the camp ran smoothly.

On Wednesday reports will come home along with information about class placements next year. The students' progress reports and goals for reading, writing and mathematics will go live on Hero on Wednesday as well. Please feel free to contact your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

This Thursday evening we have our End of Year Celebration. This starts at 6pm at school, we look forward to seeing you all there.

On Friday we have our annual Wet and Wild Day with our Kiwican Leaders. There will also be a free sausage sizzle for lunch. Students can come to school in mufti and I would suggest a towel and change of clothes. Students can bring along water guns, sponges etc but no water balloons please. It should be a fun (and very wet!) day.

In 2023 we are excited to be able to offer before school, supervised care and breakfast from 8:00am daily as well as supervised care after school until 3:30pm and the option of OSCARS for after school care if needed later than 3:30pm. OSCARS will collect students from Spring Creek School. We are also part of the Ka Ora, Ka Ako Healthy Lunches in schools programme in 2023, where all students will be provided with a free healthy and nutritious lunch.

Thank you to our whanau and school community for your amazing support over the year. We wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all in 2023.

Taekwon-Do

Legion Taekwon-Do is a dynamic martial art, and it is also an exciting sport suitable for all ages and abilities. Classes are for everyone from beginners to advanced levels.

Focused mind, disciplined body and pure spirit through community participation is our motto. Keeping this in mind, we encourage individual growth through a family feel atmosphere whilst practicing Taekwon-Do techniques.

Fees will be free to any Spring Creek School students and to the Spring Creek community. Classes will be Monday 3:15 - 4:15 pm in the Spring Creek Hall from this term. Families need to arrange for their children to go to the hall after school.
