*** When I open my Chrome Browser, I have pinned 6-8 key tabs that I access all the time (such as the district website, PowerSchool, my Google Drive, the Cloud Classroom resources, etc.). Every time I restart my computer, these pages automatically open up for me, so I don't have to search for them. To set this up, go to to your Chrome Settings, scroll down until you see "On startup", click on "Open a specific page or set of pages" and then tell Chrome what pages you want it to open every time. See a picture below for an example.
*** Find a way to bookmark things you will need again later. A few ways I bookmark things:
--> In Chrome, when I find a website (or a Google doc) to save, I click the star in the url bar to bookmark it. I keep my "Bookmark Bar" organized with what I access regularly.
--> I make appointments with myself on my calendar. When I want to save something I need to work on later, I schedule an appointment on my calendar. For instance, to save ideas for my weekly update, I might put a calendar invite on Thursday at 4:00 PM each week that says, "Work on Ed services weekly update". In the notes portion of that calendar invite, I can drop links to ideas for the weekly. As I read something that might be useful, or as I have an idea, I add it to my calendar note so it's ready when I need it.
--> Create a Google doc to save important information. Sometimes when I am researching a topic or I have a lot of links I don't want to lose, I will create a Google doc just to hold all of the links for a common topic in one place.
--> Evernote - I use Evernote for note-taking. It's an app that I can access from any device, and the information will sync up across my devices. I can create a "note" in Evernote with reminders for myself about specific things. I also keep a "Recommended Book" note going, and I add new book titles to that note every time someone recommends a good book.
*** Spring Cleaning - Just like my home, my inbox and digital files needs a good cleaning! At least once a year I sit down and go through old digital files and delete what I don't need.

* The EUSD Community - Every one that I interact with via email, phone calls, texts, Zoom, etc., is working incredibly hard to support students, parents, staff, and colleagues. I am so impressed by the teamwork, collaborative efforts, and generosity of this community! Thank you ALL for making distance learning and distance working something we can figure out together.
