Valentines for Veterans
Each February, Yulee High School students are encouraged to write a letter to a veteran who is in the Veterans Hospital in Gainesville. Mrs. Van Delinder reports that this year 103 letters were collected from YHS students.
Mrs. Van Delinder said, "Receiving these letters is really encouraging to these men and women, many of whom have prolonged hospital stays. The students in their letters usually tell a little about themselves and thank the veteran for his or her service." Excellent work, Hornets!
