Character Parade - Thursday at 1 p.m.
On Tuesday, October 30th our school will enjoy our annual Character Day Parade grades K-3rd. Your child may come to school dressed in his/her favorite character with their book and the parade will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m.
Parents are invited to this year's parade. To make the event enjoyable for our community, we have established a few guidelines:
* Costumes should be school-appropriate, non-violent and should avoid gory elements. Students are not allowed to carry weapons. Masks are permitted, but please remember our early childhood grades will be participating in this event and we need to ensure our youngest students are not frightened.
*Students in costumes deemed inappropriate by the administration, will not be allowed to participate in the parade.
*Any students who do not wish to participate may go to the Media Center.

APT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
DROP - OFF AND PICK – UP
- Please keep the car rider name(s) visible in the front window until your child is loaded.
- When traveling in the school’s parking lot please be aware of your speed; often times, our students are less than attentive at arrival and dismissal. This seems especially true at dismissal time in the car line.
- Please stay off your cell phones while driving on campus.
- When dropping off at the school, please pull as far forward as possible. Also, please have students exit from the right-hand side of the car whenever possible.
- Please continue to turn right when leaving the car line to help with traffic flow.
LET'S GET SOCIAL
We will continue utilizing our Instagram and Facebook Page this year to showcase all our positive school wide activities. The intent of this forum is to maintain a positive school climate and promote the great things happening at Savannah Grove Elementary. Please do not use our social media page to share concerns or complaints. As always, please contact Principal Copeland directly at 843-269-2563 or stop by for a face to face conversation if/when concerns arise.
