NINTH ANNUAL MARCHING AT THE ROCKS
On October 12th, competing bands will proudly perform their exhibition shows that combine music, artistry, and showmanship. Students work throughout the summer and fall to prepare for this event. Over 400 students are participating from four surrounding districts. The show is staffed by professional judges and culminates in an awards ceremony. The first band will take the field promptly at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for Students/Seniors and include one program book per attendee group. A full concession stand featuring a variety of great snacks, band merchandise, and candygrams will be available throughout the afternoon. Proceeds benefit the Council Rock HS North Music program. Band Students from all Council Rock Elementary and Middle schools will receive free tickets and are encouraged to attend (with a paying adult chaperone) as part of their music education.

Council Rock will once celebrate CR Education Week this year from Monday, November 11th through Thursday, November 14th. Parent/guardian visitation activities will take place according to the following schedule:

GREAT NEWS FROM AROUND THE DISTRICT
COUNCIL ROCK TEACHER SPREADS DYSLEXIA AWARENESS WITH COLLABORATIVE ARTICLE
Council Rock North English teacher, Hollie Woodward, raised awareness of dyslexia by collaborating on an article in CSforAll. The article discusses dyslexia and access to computer science. Hollie also served as a keynote speaker, representing Decoding Dyslexia PA, at the PA State Capital Building on September 23 for Dyslexia Awareness Day. She and her dyslexic son, Jake, had the opportunity to speak to state legislators about the Dyslexia Pilot and the need for dyslexia legislation.
