Spring Fever - Finish Strong
Items for your attention:
- Spring break was great, and I think we all have a case of Spring Fever. I ask for your help in encouraging your students to stay focused, arrive on time, and finish this semester STRONG!
- Exam dates for S2 are included below. Please pay attention to these dates so your student is in attendance. Senior Exam dates are the same, but please note the change in which exams will take place on the 19th and 20th (see below).
- Attendance Reminders: Please check Parent Portal to be aware of any student absences and send in medical or parent notes for any unexcused absences. School starts at 8:40 AM - we appreciate your support to ensure an on time arrival.
- Special Olympics was held Friday afternoon at Nation Ford High School. Very proud of these athletes! See pic below.
- See the "Seniors" section below for important upcoming dates. Some graduation events are mandatory.

- Band: With a score of 94.5, our Cr Band Percussion are the WGI World Class Bronze Medalists! Winds results from Sunday will be reported next newsletter. The CR Band the Band was recognized at the Town of Fort Mill’s Hometown Heroes event

Softball: HUGE win over NaFo this week!
Ladies Lacrosse: Great Season, ladies!
Men's Lacrosse: Great Season, gentlemen!
Ladies Soccer: Co-Regions Champs!
Men's Soccer: Back-to-back Region Champs!
Men's Golf: Regionals begin soon!
Men's Tennis: Region Champs!
Track: Boys came in 1st and Girls came in 2nd place at this week's meet. It was also Senior Night! The track team competes at the Region Championship May 3rd in York!

April Students of the Month
Congratulations to the following students for being chosen as our April Students of the Month:
Layla Brindisi, Sam Grant, Ella Monaghan, Hayden Micronis, Ally Mueller,, Jordan Sanders, and Howie Wilford (not pictured).
These students were chosen by teachers in various departments because of the great things that they do on a daily basis and how they represent one of our mottos, “Be The Why”. We are Copperhead Proud of these students!

Senior Reminders
- Graduation Letter: This Graduation Letter was sent via email on Friday, mailed on Friday and is included here so you have all the important dates and information in one place.
- Graduation Tickets & Extra Ticket Request Form: Please plan to receive 8 tickets for the ceremony.
Senior Textbook Check-In starts May 11th before school, during FLEX, and all 3 lunch periods. All textbooks should be returned and all textbook fines and textbook replacement costs should be taken care of by May 19th.
- Mandatory Senior Meeting May 12th - at 9:50 AM in the Auditorium. (Note that this date and time changed from what was previously communicated.)
Senior Celebration: May 13th in the Courtyard during 3rd Block.
Senior Sunset: May 13th in the Courtyard 7-9 PM.
Mandatory Graduation Practice: May 26 @ 2 PM in the CRHS Gym
Graduation is Saturday, May 28th at 10 AM at Winthrop Coliseum. Seniors must report @ 9 AM.

CR Band Recognized at the 4/21 Hometown Heroes Event
Gold Key Winner
10th grader Ethan Sellers Soto received a Scholastic Gold Key for three of his paintings and was recognized this week at the FMSD Board Meeting for his achievements. He is pictured with his art teacher, Mrs. Quinn. Congratulations, Ethan!
Model UN
The Model United Nations (UN) team placed second overall (The Secretariat Award) at a recent event at Winthrop University. Kayla Southwood won an individual award (Distinguished Delegate) for her role as Palestine in the Security Council
