Our Path Note Topic
The First Choice Development Team just met for our first quarterly check in and we are so excited to continue building First Choice in WASD! We need your help to keep things moving and growing!
Are you interested in setting success criteria, reviewing current curriculum offerings, or building curriculum units in Abre for WASD? Reach out to Dr. Diane McCallum and join her Academic Team!
Do you love hands-on learning and incorporating real world learning experiences in the classroom? Do you believe there are "Essential Skills" that all WASD learners should have before they leave? Join Mr. Jason Wetherald's Career Team to develop that list and plan the Career Fair!
Is finding new ways to engage learners using things like jigsaw method, whip around, and turn & talk exciting to you? The TRAiIL team and Megan McGuire are looking for teachers to help curate and develop innovative instructional protocols. Reach out to her to join them!
Remember--First Choice is only a vision, a concept. But we all have to take part in what it should look like and be for the Waynesboro Area School District.
Teacher Advisory Volunteers
We still need representatives from the HS, MS, FV and MW.

Piece of the Puzzle
This Week's Piece of the Puzzle is Rebecca McDonald. Rebecca is a great team player. Outside of her duties in the library, Rebecca assists in our lunch lines, our cafeteria, as well as in our classrooms as a substitutue teacher. She does it all and doesn't ask for anything in return. She goes above and beyond every day to make things better for the students and staff of Summitview. We are thankful to have Rebecca at our school.
Please congratulate Rebecca McDonald for being our Piece of the Puzzle!

Can you answer this?
Challenge Answer
The Clayton Avenue Administration Building was deeded to the school district in 1906. We are not quite sure when the building was built, but we believe sometime between 1906-1910. It is believed it began as the Waynesboro High School.
