An HSF Symposium and Project of Leadership Plano Class 35 was held on Saturday May 19th at UT Dallas in Richardson. More than 60 students and their parents attended the event that focused on college and career information and motivation. The symposium included guest speakers, a panel discussion and break out sessions.
Special thanks to Robin Garcia, HSF Student Success Committee and Leadership Plano Class 35 member for her outstanding leadership.

INAUGURAL TIM PLATT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Emily Ayoubi accepted the Tim Platt Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship was founded by Toyota employees wanting to honor the memory of their friend and leader, Tim Platt. A ceremony was held at Toyota North America Headquarters in Plano to present Emily with the award. The Platt family had the opportunity to meet and talk with Emily as well as Hendrick Board President Nancy Humphrey, Hendrick Board member and Student Success Committee Chair Tom Donaldson and Hendrick Executive Director, Gregg Pappas.

TASTE 2018 RECAP
Over 300 guests attend and over $100,000 raised for our scholars!

Former Hendrick Scholar, Melissa Mangum, and guest traveled all the way from Louisiana to attend the event. Not only a TASTE 2018 Sponsor, Melissa was also a 1998 Scholarship recipient.
Hendrick coaches and members of the Student Success Committee showed their support, Mary Ann Moon with Hendrick Board Member, Dr. La Tanya Thomas.
John Tesar, head chef, and staff provided delicious bites to TASTE attendees at their booth from their restaurant menu at Knife, opening in Shops of Willow Bend. Mr. Tesar delivered a passionate speech about his dedication to the cause as well as auctioned off two dinner parties at his new restaurant.
