Grade 8 National Spanish Exams
The following students are being honored this Friday during Titan Time for their performance on the National Spanish Exam. Transportation Update
When bus passes were purchased, one of the expectations listed is "Students may only ride their assigned bus as indicated on their bus pass." This means students cannot ride any other bus unless it is an emergency and the Transportation Office (Lori Jacobs @ 781-829-0832) grants permission for students to do so. Going over to a friend's house is not an emergency. We are reminding students of this policy because many requests were made on the early release day to ride other buses in order to go to friends' houses, and we cannot approve those requests.
PCMS NEWS
Congratulations to 7th grader Ryan Myett who was chosen as this year's PTAD/Pembroke Titan Youth Basketball True Titan Award winner. Ryan was nominated by his coach and chosen for his great attitude and teamwork along with being someone responsible and always making good choices.
Mrs. Gillis' students have finished their ceiling tile projects and we will be putting them up shortly! Such awesome work by our students!
Twelve PCMS students and Ms. Stoddard enjoyed and afternoon in Boston to try crewing on the Charles River.
Thank you
Four PCMS students, who are part of the high school robotics team, competed last weekend in the Junior Botball competition.
They did great! Each team had 2 robots programmed to work together to collect and move objects to accumulate points.
Mrs. Griggs, the high school advisor, thinks they came in 5th out of 22 teams/schools.
The team also won the Judge’s Choice Award for rookies! Congratulations to Zach Jackson, Declan Battell, Ben Dyer and Jeff April!
We are hoping to have even more middle school students join the robotics team next year.
(Hard work conquers all!)
Congratulations to this year’s NLE (National Latin Exam) award winners:
Liam Brennan – Maxima Cum Laude and Silver Medalist
Holly Beaudoin – Magna Cum Laude
Paige Harrison – Cum Laude
Congratulations to ALL 8th grade Latin students!
This year’s reading comprehension score was five percentage points above the national average!

Hats and Hoods
We are reminding students that they are not permitted to wear head coverings during school hours unless the principal grants permission. Students should remove hats and hoods as soon as they enter the building and not put them back on until they are out of the building. Head coverings for religious observance or medical reasons are the exceptions to this rule.
