Help us help your students reach for the stars by being to school on time and ready to learn!
At Pine Tree Primary every minute counts. Therefore, being on time to class and staying the full day is essential for a student to make the most of his/her education and be successful. Therefore, the parent and student should make every effort to avoid unnecessary tardies.
The school day begins at 7:45 a.m. and students are considered tardy at 7:45. The school day ends at 3:05 p.m. For your convenience, our doors open at 7:05, and all students receive free breakfast in our cafeteria.
If transportation is an issue, PTISD provides bus transportation to in-district students. Riding the bus will ensure your student gets to school on time. You may contact the campus office or the transportation department to obtain information on your child becoming a bus rider.
Effective November 7, 2016, Pine Tree Primary will be implementing the following policy regarding tardies. The count will start over each nine weeks.
5th tardy – lunch detention
6th tardy – lunch detention
7th and each additional tardy – student will be assigned to lunch detention and recess detention to complete work missed due to tardies.
We appreciate your efforts in getting your child to school on time. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact our office.
