Strongsville High School Parent Teacher Conferences 1st Semester 2021
When are Parent Teacher Conferences for the first semester at Strongsville High School?
Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on WED September 29th & TUES October 5th from 3:15 pm to 6:15 pm.
Where and how will Parent Teacher Conferences take place?
This year we are pleased to announce that you will have the opportunity to select from 3 different ways to hold Parent Teacher Conferences. You can select to have a scheduled phone conference, Google Meet (virtual platform), or an in person Face-to-Face conference.
How do you sign up for Parent Teacher Conferences for the first semester?

Please select the teachers you would like to have a conference with and fill out the Form.
What you need to know for in person Face-to-Face Parent Teacher Conferences.
Please note that the primary option that we are asking for Conferences to take place is through the use of Google Meet.
It is highly recommended that all visitors during Parent Teacher Conferences wear a face covering.
Please observe 6 FT social distancing while in the building.
What you need to know if you selected a Google Meet.
Our teachers will be emailing you a Google Meet link or Calendar Invite so you can access Google Meet for your virtual conference.

SHS Guidance Staff will be available to help you navigate the system from a parent point of view.
The next 2 drop in help sessions are September 29 4:00pm -5:00pm or October 5 5:00pm -6:00pm in Room 303

CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS YEAR’S SHS/POLARIS AMBASSADORS

SHS BAND & ORCHESTRA STUDENTS EARN SPOTS ON ALL-STATE AND REGIONAL GROUPS
Congratulations to a record-setting number of SHS Band & Orchestra students for earning spots on several prestigious groups. Fifteen students were selected as members of the 2021 Northeast Regional Orchestra, which is an auditioned honors orchestra consisting of the best student musicians from Northeast Ohio. This select ensemble is sponsored by the Ohio Music Education Association, and will perform on Nov. 7, at E.J. Thomas Hall at the University of Akron.
2021 Northeast Regional Orchestra: Johnathan Carman (Percussion), Lauren Dunlap (Violin), Audrey Greer (Violin), Jacob Huber (Bass), Jocelyn Huber (Violin), Henry Joniak (French Horn), Sanjana Katiyar (Viola), Jade Lum (Violin), Delaney Merkle (Violin), Zach Rinas (Violin), Sofia Ruff (Cello), Amanda Shaffer (Viola), Lillian Vassel (Viola), Marissa Ventresca (Violin), Hunter Zadar (Violin)
Nine musicians from the Strongsville High School Symphony Orchestra were selected as members of the 2022 All-State Orchestra, making this the 18th year in a row an SHS Orchestra student has been selected for this elite ensemble. The All-State Orchestra consists of the best high school orchestra musicians from all of Ohio, and will perform at the 2022 Ohio Music Education Association’s Professional Development Conference at the Cleveland Convention Center in February.

Congratulations also to Abby Maher (Clarinet) for being selected as a member of the 2022 All-State Band! The All-State Band consists of the best high school band musicians from all over Ohio, and will perform at the 2022 Ohio Music Education Associations Professional Development Conference at the Cleveland Convention Center in February. Abby is a member of the Strongsville High School Marching Mustangs, Wind Ensemble, and Symphony Orchestra.

Financial Aid/FAFSA Meeting
All 12th grade students and families are encouraged to attend the virtual Financial Aid/FAFSA Presentation on Tuesday, October 5th at 6:00pm. Our presenter is from the office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarship at Tri-C. Here is a link to the virtual Financial Aid/FAFSA Presentation. SHS Homecoming Dance 2021 – “A Night in New York”
Saturday, October 9th, 7-10 PM @ Catan Stadium
In case of rain, moved inside to multiple gyms; masks required indoors
Each SHS student buys their own ticket, $15 apiece.
Check only; make out the check to Strongsville City Schools.
Sold in lunch periods, Monday through Wednesday, October 4th – 6th.
Guest Forms now available to pick up in the Main Office.
You MUST turn in completed Guest Form & copy of guest’s picture ID before purchase your ticket.
No stilettos (tall, pointy heels) worn on the turf – wear flats, wedges or chunky heels.
