Happenings In Panther Nation - April 2021

When we go walking around with our favorite drink and somebody bumps into us really hard, we typically spill our drink. If our cup is filled with water, then we will spill water. If it is filled with coffee, we will spill coffee. We don’t expect something different to spill from the cup we are carrying around.

The same is true when our world is rattled. Something is going to spill out of us. Whatever we are filled with will come out of us when facing adversity, hardship, challenges, and obstacles. We may be able to alter our emotions for a certain time period, but eventually, we will let out the emotions that we are filled with.

When we interact with a person that is constantly negative and finds the problems in every challenge, we have to believe that they are filled with these emotions, and the situation is causing the emotions to spill out of them.

This is so easy to see in others, but I wonder if others see it in us? Are we the one that is walking around, getting bumped into, and spilling out negative or hateful emotions? Then I wonder, if we are the one that is spilling out negative emotions, are we alright with it and justify it as “that is just the way I am.”

With all that said, we have to be careful and strive to understand why the negative emotions are spilling out of ourselves or others. We do not need to tolerate the negative or hateful actions, but we need to love on people and hopefully fill them with positive emotions that will begin spilling out of them. We also have to understand that somebody can love us all they want, but we are in control of accepting their love, changing our internal feelings, and allowing those positive feelings to spill out of us!
