Welch Middle School
Happenings
Dear Wolf Pack Parents & Students,
I hope you and your loved ones had an amazing, restful, and relaxing Winter Break. As always, our primary goal at Welch MS is to ensure your child feels safe and that we are ensuring our teachers and staff are teaching and delivering quality instruction. We are committed to providing quality education to all students that will lead them to their career or college of their choice. Here at Welch, we are always very proud of the outstanding achievements of our students. They continue to work hard and show up. I am so very grateful to have such a talented, energetic staff who is committed daily to your child’s success and overall academic and social success. Moreover, I am grateful for our wonderful school community for your continued partnership in ensuring your child’s success. Thank you!
Congrats to our Band and Choir for an outstanding performance in December Fall Concert.
January is packed with events, we have our monthly Snack & Chat, wrapping up first semester, updating our after school and Saturday tutorial list, beginning our Spring sports and activities, and celebrating our 3rd six weeks honor roll, perfect attendance, and good behavior. In addition, we are ensuring that your child’s academic, social, and emotional needs are met daily. It truly takes a village, and we count on you as as our school partners daily.
Fall Semester closes on Friday, January 14, 2022, and report cards will go out the following week. Please ensure your child is staying focused on instruction and is taking advantage of our wide range of opportunities to get extra academic support though after school tutorials, morning homeroom lab, lunch and learns, Saturday tutorials, and much more. New tutorial letters will be sent out on Jan. 19th.
On Friday, January 21, 2022, we will hold our 3rd six-week celebrations for honor roll, perfect attendance, and good behavior. There will be Kona Ice and other treats to purchase during that designated time. Your child is allowed to bring cash to purchase Kona Ice teats and/or other truck food items. During this time students who meet the celebration criteria will be able to participate in games, socialize with friends, and purchase special treats.
Please continue to ensure your child to submit all enrollment forms, continue to read every night, and do complete any missing assignments or homework. Hard work is the key to success. It’s also that time, for parents to check in with your child’s teachers and ensure they are on track with teaching and learning. Every teacher has a conference period, please do not hesitate to reach out and start setting up teacher conferences and ensure your child is on the track to success.
Lastly we encourage everyone to follow us on all our social media platforms and visit our school website. You can access important information and get the latest campus and district updates at:

Parents please ensure your child is at school promptly every morning before 8:25 am. All walkers will enter and exit the campus through the main gate’s front entrance. All car riders will be dropped off and picked up in the parking lot near the 6th grade temporary buildings. Wolves travel in a pack- no one will be left behind. Success Opportunities
Safety is Key
- Wash your hands, make sure to wash for at least 20 seconds!
- Use hand sanitizer around campus when you are not able to wash your hands with soap and water!
- Watch your distance and avoided very crowded areas!
- Cover your cough or sneezes!
- Take care of yourself in and out of school!
COVID Protocol Reminder
Coming off a long winter’s break, we know there will be positive cases as we come together for the second half of the school year. You can help us keep school running smoothly for all by not sending students to school who are ill. If there is any question, please err on the side of caution. When we have to send staff home because they are ill, it has a dramatic impact on all students and staff. Thank you for being our partners as we continue to navigate the complicated world of COVID.
