Children Are being affected by the media
Media is affecting children these days, if a random youtuber has the new and coolest game. When they see this game they will want it no matter what the rating is. For example, M for mature games with blood, gore, and swearing. The idea to write about children playing an adult/mature game is from videos of children swearing and threatening the youtuber on the video game. Children are also spending way too much time playing video games.A 2010 research by Sarah, States, “The Kaiser Family Foundation surveyed 2,000 children ages 8-18 in 2010 and found children’s screen time totals an average of 7 hours and 38 minutes per day.(Bean.)” The effect of adult/mature video game on children is, they can get influenced by the swearing and aggressiveness of the video game. We can fix this problem by having their parents make sure the game their child is playing is appropriate.
With today's technology children can use excessive amounts of violence and adult scenes from video games that they should not be viewing. As children play more and more violent video game they get more violent/ aggressive as they grow up. A Research from Time magazine, by Alice Park, states, “A closer look at kids who played more hours of violent video games per week revealed increases in aggressive behavior and violent tendencies, compared to those who played fewer hours a week.(Park.)” This evidence shows that as children play violent video games they tend to get more aggressive. Too many kids have these types of games. More research from Time magazine, by Alice Park says, “Approximately 90% of children in the U.S play video games, and more that 90% of the games involve mature content that often includes violence.(Park.)” This shows that too much children are playing violent video games.
As technology advances, there is better security to stop children or anyone from playing over a certain amount of time, it's called be a good parent. If I was a parent to a child that non-stop played video games I would hide his or her power cord. The only time I would give it to him or her is when I allow him or her to play. Not only would I hide the cord, but I would check on what him or her is playing. I would only allow him or her to play T for teen games and below. If I found that him or her is is acting weird meaning that they’re being more mean or aggressive I would stop him or her from playing and only allow him or her on their phone. So basicly be a responsible and moderate parent about what your children see and play.
In the ending, a problem with the media is that Children are playing games that they’re not allowed to play.In Order to stop this You should be a responsible parent about what your children are exposed to. Your Children will end up being a better person and be the perfect child you have always wanted.
