Lexia Lab will begin on October 7th, after school, on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.
Our school has 30 licenses to use, and children in grades 1-6 who could benefit from extra practice in language arts skills are eligible. Children who already began the program last year will be able to continue. If your child cannot attend Lexia Lab, the program may be used at home. Below is the permission slip for sign up. Fill out, sign, and return it to your child's teacher.
I will enroll students as I receive the permission slips.

September is the month for national awareness of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Awareness. Many of us are surprised to learn that every glass of alcohol does have an effect on the unborn child; sometimes it becomes life altering.
As supportive parents and a strong school community, let's take this month and help share the information we have gained about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). Knowledge is power and enables people to make choices that benefit them and their families.
Please see me with any questions pertaining to FASD or to obtain additional information.

The Star Spangled Banner" is the national anthem of the United States of America. The lyrics come from a poem written in 1814 by Francis Scott Key after seeing the bombardment of Fort McHenry at Baltimore, MD in the night of September 13-14th, during the War of 1812.
Pablo Picasso's painting Guernica is returned to Spain and installed in Madrid's Prado Museum. Picasso stated in his will that the painting was not to return to Spain until the Fascists lost power and democracy was restored.
In an unprecedented, highly coordinated attack, terrorists hijack four U.S. passenger airliners, flying two into the World Trade Center towers in New York and one into the Pentagon, killing thousands. The fourth airliner, headed toward Washington likely to strike the White House or Capitol, is crashed just over 100 miles away in Pennsylvania after passengers storm the cockpit and overtake the hijackers.
