Parent Canvas Help
Parents,
Come join our Canvas Teacher Leaders at the Deer Creek PAAC on Sept. 16th to learn more about our digital learning platform, Canvas LMS, which is used in all classrooms district-wide. We will have a brief presentation at 6:00pm followed by 1-on-1 help sessions for parents who need assistance logging in, navigating, and setting up their observer account.
Breakfast Times
Free Breakfasts and Lunches
We still ask that you fill out the Free and Reduced Lunch Application, this helps our district receive much-needed Federal Funds. Information is located at the button below. Thank you!
Adorable little Artists hard at work!!
Be sure to download the app--PBIS Rewards for Parents! On this app, you will be able to see your child's PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) points that they earn to spend on class items, end of quarter parties, and other fun items! You'll also have information on major and minor behavior referrals if they occur. This is a great tool for asking your child how their day went!! You should have received an email from PBIS Rewards. If you have not, please email stephanieandraszek@dcsok.org and I would be glad to send another, or I can send home a hard copy of the letter with login information specific to your child's account.
Spring Creek Traffic Flow
A couple of reminders:
There is no parent walk up to drop off or pick up students for arrival and dismissal. The only options for arrival and dismissal are bus, car line, or walkers from the neighborhood to the North of school.
For dismissal in our car line, please be sure to have your car tag hanging on your rearview mirror. This allows our staff to load your child quickly. If you do not have a car tag, they are available in our office for $3.00. For your child's safety, students are not loaded into cars which do not have car tags.
Walkers go through the north gate where the Northbrooke housing addition meets the playground. In the morning, we have a staff member at the gate from 8:40 am until 8:55 am to allow students onto the school grounds. After school, walkers meet together in the gym at 3:45 and walk to the gate together, where a staff member releases them to parents to walk home. That staff member will be at the gate with students until 3:55. Any students who are not collected at the gate will be taken to the office to wait for parents to pick them up.
SCHOOL TIMES
Doors open in the mornings at 8:40 am.

STUDENT INSURANCE
“The Deer Creek School District has made arrangements to offer Student Accident Insurance for all students from K&K Insurance Group. We make this coverage available to parents for their children who are students enrolled in our schools. The Deer Creek School District does not provide insurance coverage or medical reimbursements to parents for injuries that occur during school, including those incurred during gym classes, recess, etc.
While this coverage is optional, it is important that you review the coverage options available to you and consider purchasing this coverage, especially if your family has health insurance with a high co-payment for doctor and emergency visits, or a high-deductible plan, etc. Go to the link below for the application and additional information.
