Drinking and driving

Protecing those under age

Just the facts

Every day, almost 30 people in the United States die in vehicle accidents that involve an alcohol-impaired driver. This means that there is one death every 51 minutes.

In 2012, 10,322 people were killed in a drunk driving accident, accounting for almost one-third of all traffic-related deaths in the United States.

Telling you why

Drinking before or during driving is a hazard to everyone around you, whether you drank one bottle, half a bottle, even just a sip is a hazard.

If you have drank while at a friends house or any house that is not your own and you need a ride back, DO NOT drive, have a friend that has not been drinking or hail a cab to drive you home. If you drive while drinking even if you do not cause a crash the police can and will fine you and possibly arrest you for under age drinking or drinking while driving.

The law

Follow it or pay the price

All states define driving with a blood alcohol concentration at or above 0.08 percent as a crime. All states require all or some drunk drivers to install interlocks in their cars to analyze their breath and disable the engine if alcohol is detected.

Convinced yet?

If your not convinced than maybe this will help.

You can kill innocent people that maybe didn't have anything to do with it...... How would you feel about taking a life or someone's child away.

Save a life, don't drink and drive.
