Be a Girl Scout
Girl Scouts has 2.7 million people involved (1.9 million girls and 800,000 adults) who believe girls can change the world. This organization began over 100 years ago with one woman, Girl Scouts’ founder Juliette Gordon "Daisy" Low who believed in the power of every girl. She organized the first Girl Scout troop on March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, and every year since, we've made her vision a reality, helping girls discover their strengths, passions, and talents. Today the Girl Scout mission is continued to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. And with programs for girls from coast to coast and across the globe, Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to do something amazing. Girls in grades K-8th can come to an informative meeting with their parents to learn more about this wonderful opportunity. The meeting is every first and third Saturday of the month at the Frenship High School cafeteria. At Girl Scouts girls will always be able to count on having an adventure with their friends. They can increase their artistic skills, do experiments, help the community, and make new friends. Girls will be able to make a difference in the world, get to know what the world is like, and they will be able to build their self-esteem. Gil Scouts goes on many trips and does exercises and fun things on each trip. Girl Scouts is an organization wanting to invest in the lives of young girls and they believe girls can change the world, and we want you to be apart of it!
