Scholastic Book Orders
We've only had 2 families turn in their certificates for FREE books from Scholastic. Please go to Scholastic.com with your child and pick out your $20 worth of books. Then just email or text Donna, or send in a note with your child's choices.
We are in need of a PAC president, secretary, and treasurer. It sometimes becomes difficult to conduct the business of the PAC without officers. Please consider volunteering.
Cooper Landing School is in need of substitutes for all positions: teacher, instructional aide, special education aide, secretary, and custodian. If you are interested, please go to the KPBSD website to apply: https://kpbsd.org/departments/assistant-superintendent/instructional-services/hr/substitute-information/
Teacher substitutes need only to have a high school diploma or GED. A teaching certificate is not required.
Please make sure your child has a warm jacket, hat, gloves, snow pants and boots. If it is convenient for you, and your child has extras, these things can be kept at the school. Please make sure to label each item with your child's name.

Hope School Happenings
Time flies when you are having fun. I cannot believe it is February already! Alyeska trips are fixing to begin. The students are very excited. Our staff have worked hard to bring community into the Hope School. Please come to the next Community night will be February 8th from 6-7 pm and we will be enjoying a wonderful game night. We would like very much to see more people from our community attend. Mrs. Peck and Mr. McKibben have had some truly interesting classes this past week. Students have taken a virtual tour of the China Wall. They have discussed how Roman roads were constructed. While others learned more about plate tectonics, coding and the workings of simple machines. I would like to say that I hope all of our students from Hope, Moose Pass and Cooper Landing have a wonderful time together at Alyeska this year. They are a part of our small communities and share many of our joys and struggles with us. We can count on them.
