Summer has arrived!
The time has come to adjust our distance learning routines and step into summer with a sense of relief and excitement! Closing this school year was certainly the hardest end-of-year experience we have ever had. So much of what we do in our world of learning is celebrating, encouraging, giving hugs on hard days, and sharing big smiles every day. As you have heard us say time and time again, we missed our students tremendously. Although these changes have certainly pushed in a new way of learning, we are eager to plan for the 2020-2021 school year much like we kicked off this past school year! Soon enough, we will be filling our hallways and classrooms with conversations, laughter, and student learning!
As you and your child prepare for the next school year, we are happy to announce Brandi Hanselka as your proud campus principal! Mrs. Hanselka has served as Assistant Principal on our campus for the past four years. Her commitment to the district exceeds 22 years, serving as a teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. Her experience, professionalism, and excitement to serve our students is exceptional!
We also welcome Ms. Bonnie Herron as Intermediate Assistant Principal. She, too, has been committed to LVISD for an extended period of time and has served in multiple leadership capacities throughout the past 14 years. Ms. Herron is elated to join our Intermediate Campus family!
Please note that our campus and district offices continue to remain closed for walk-ins, but parents are welcome to reach out via email to campus administration throughout the summer. Registration and Meet the Teacher information will also be sent out soon!
On behalf of all of us at La Vernia Intermediate, we wish you a very safe, happy, and enjoyable summer!
