College Day - Wednesday

Time to show off our college wear again! Staff, students, and community are encouraged to show their college spirit on Wednesday.

House Party on Thursday

On Thursday we will be celebrating our students' hard work at the 2nd six weeks HOUSE PARTY! Everyone should wear their house color and come ready to celebrate!

“State of the Campus” Presentation

Have you ever wondered how WBE is fairing with student achievement? What are WBE's goals? How can I as a parent best help my child achieve? Mrs. Eastlick will be providing a "State of the Campus" presentation to any interested parents on Thursday, November 12th beginning at 6:30 in the WBE cafeteria. Topics to discuss are:
  • State and Federal Accountability
  • WBE's current accountability rankings
  • WBE's areas for improvement
  • Tips for parents to partner with the school to achieve our goals

Friday, 11/13 Early Realease Day

Students will be dismissed from school at NOON on Friday, 11/13. MISD busses will run as normal at that time. The Mansfield After School Care program will NOT be open that day.

Toy Drive & Community Event

WBE is collecting new, unwrapped toys to be donated to the Toys For Tots campaign. This is a great opportunity to teach your child about the gift of giving to those in need. We have collection bins on campus and are ready to accept donations now through 12/9. We also encourage your family to come out the the community event (information below). Our WBE 2nd graders will be performing at the event.


Toys For Tots

Location: MISD Center for the Performing Arts


All are invited to the 4th annual MISD & Mansfield Community Toys for Tots event for Wednesday, December 9th from 5:00-10:30 pm, with the kick off parade starting at 5:00.

Many free activities are planned for the evening, including a parade, a snow sledding hill, Santa photos, live reindeer, bounce houses, obstacle course, Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate, train rides, crafts, mascot race, ornament making, student performances, and lots more free, festive fun!


FOX4 will be broadcasting live during their evening news, so set your TV to record, grab a new toy, and come out to The Center. Don’t have time for dinner? No problem! Food trucks will be here so you can buy some tasty food while enjoying the festivities. It's holiday cheer for the entire family!
