Weekly Update:

We have enjoyed learning about life cycles this week! We have studied the life cycle of the frog, butterfly, ladybug, sunflower, dog, chicken, and the horse. In math, we completed unit 11 on place value and the students took their unit test on Tuesday. Please continue to practice counting money with your child at home. In science, we are beginning our embryology unit. We are very excited about hatching chickens. The process will begin on Wednesday and take 21 days until our feathery friends enter the world! We think they will be very smart chickens since we will read to them everyday! We are also working very hard on our reader response questions. Please make sure your child is using the R.A.C.E. strategy to answer the questions for RRJ. They need to restate the question in a sentence, answer it, and use details from the book to support their response.
