From Mr. Noyes

Hello Clifford families!

Happy end of the 1st week of school! You did it! Not going to say it wasn't a little bumpy at the start, because it certainly was- we expected it. But for the last two days it has been going very well. I had a chance to visit some of the students in their virtual classrooms and I saw some very engaged kids and teachers! It truly brought joy to my heart to see the kids again!

I am sending out this message with some updates, information on how to get technology support, attendance, calendar reminders, and information about how Wednesdays will look going forward.

In community,

Updates on Distance Learning...

We have spent the last several days working with families to get their students online and in their learning groove on all of their digital platforms. We have gotten some great encouraging and constructive feedback about how we can better communicate with you. Remember to always reach out to your child’s teacher if you have specific questions about their instruction, expectations, etc. The teachers are the experts when it comes to their classrooms, and they are happy to help you answer questions, especially during their office hours.

All in all, we had a successful first week back to school. We’ve heard from so many teachers how impressed they have been with your children and at how much they are able to already navigate this digital world. We’re watching a whole new generation create a new and promising, future before us.

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to help. And don't forget to check out, Clifford School's Distance Learning Hub! https://sites.google.com/rcsdk8.net/clifforddistancelearning/home

Remember we are stronger together!

Read Alouds and PE+ Teaching K-5

Every Wednesday all students can log into a live read aloud time. Additionally, our K-5 students can log onto a live PE teaching time with PE+. Here is the schedule, by grade level, for each of these activities. Your child can find the link to these activities in their Google Classroom, or in an email from their teacher. We are trying to figure out an efficient system for posting links, but also maintaining privacy so those outside our community don’t also access those links. We’ll keep you updated on this progress.

Don't forget to add your 1st day of school photo to the slide deck!

We think it is very important this year to make the 1st day back feel special for our students. To help show your school pride, Jennifer Braddock created these slides . Simply download the slides, add your photo and then you can share your Clifford Pride with your friends and family. Principal Jude may also collect these for a school display. We hope your student's first day back is great! If you have Clifford gear, wear it in your picture!!

**Instructions: Take your picture on the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, then add your picture to your class slides (scroll down to find the correct slide by teacher last name below).
