What's Happening Woodward

November Updates

With the colder temps setting in and the clocks turned back this past weekend, we are well into our year together. Despite the many changes that our students have had to experience, they have adjusted with ease. We are reminded daily of their resilience and perseverance.

Please read on for a few important reminders:

-Weather permitting, we will make every effort to go outside to enjoy the fresh air. Please be sure to send your student to school with appropriate gear every day (sweatshirt, coat, jacket, hat, gloves, etc).

-With more families choosing to drive their students to school, we have noticed a longer backup at morning drop-off. Please be patient and DO NOT pass other vehicles who are dropping off their students. Doing so poses a huge safety risk. A friendly reminder, our drop-off window begins at 8:40 and goes until 8:55. Please contact the office with any questions you may have.

We appreciate your patience and understanding!

-Please keep your students home if they are not feeling well. The district has created a daily checklist and community commitment to help families. We all need to do our part to stop the spread, especially during cold and flu season. Thank you!

Woodward Extravaganza

We're only days away from the Woodward Basket Raffel and Auction! Thank you to our wonderful parent community for donating to this event and helping to create such beautiful and bountiful raffle baskets. This year the raffle and auction will be a virtual event, we will be using 32auctions.com. The auction site link will go live on Friday, November 12th, and will be sent out via One Call Now to parents and community members.

Baskets will be on display at Woodward this week- if you attend the COVID vaccine clinic on Wednesday, you will get a sneak peek. Take a look at some of the baskets assembled already! These are just a few of the 20 baskets up for raffle and 10+ auction items.

COVID Vaccine Clinic Reminder

The Town of Southborough will be hosting a Coivd vaccine clinic at Woodward School on Wednesday, November 10 from 4:00-8:00 pm. The vaccine clinic is for students ages 5-11 years old and registration is required. Participants are required to park in the lower lot at Woodward. If you have registered, please be sure to take advantage of this opportunity.

Big picture

Native American Heritage Month

Every November, National Native American Heritage Month is celebrated across the country, recognizing the major contributions that the first peoples of the Americas made to our country. It is a month that celebrates the cultural diversity of Native Americans and helps to raise awareness about the hardships they have dealt with throughout our nation’s history. As a nation, we celebrate the diversity of the Native Americans, Alaskan Native, and Native Hawaiian cultures and people.

Thank you SOS!

Thank you to the Woodward parent community and SOS. On our staff professional development day, faculty and staff were treated to breakfast and refreshments provided by SOS. It was a great way to start our day together.

As always, thank you for your support and generosity!
