Weekly Reflection
Our theme this week has been Courageous Advocacy. A courageous advocate is someone who champions a cause which is special and meaningful to them. This may be done as a group of individuals or it may just be one person.
In school, we have been celebrating courageous advocates. We would like to recognise our children and staff who have shown their dedication to different causes.
🌟Ella Wheatley who walked 7.61km to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.
🌟Lucas Davidson who demonstrates courageous advocacy every day that he is on duty as a Playground Buddy when he proactively helps children in the yard to make friends and have fun whilst outside.
🌟We would like to celebrate some members of staff who are courageous advocates. Earlier this year Miss Johnson and Miss Chetcuti climbed Mount Snowdon to raise money for Streetworx and managed to raise £700. We also have Miss Knighton who last month ran 13.1 miles by doing the Great North Run. She was raising money for NSPCC and raised over £850
Christians believe that the world is God's gift to us and that God has given people the job of taking care of it by continuing to create good things with his help. The Christian faith is found all around the world and in response to God's gift of creation Christians try to make a difference for good where they are. Think for a moment about a cause which is special and meaningful to you and what you could do to be more of a courageous advocate to support these causes.
