Digital Computers vs Analog Computers.

When is this device used?

Digital:

This device is used in the modern age. (Late 80's - 2016+). These are independent operating systems that mainly don't use ms-dos. For example windows 95+.

Analog:

Analog computers were used early 90's and later. These computers didn't use a graphic interface.

Where is this device used?

Digital:

This device is used in a office, library, home, school, modes of transformation, and anything else that uses a computer.

Analog:

Manly government offices and works.

Why is this device used?

Digital:

This device is used for many reasons. The common ones are: to work, to entertain themselves, to keep order, and anything else.

Analog:

This device was used for tasks humans couldn't do.

For what is this device used?

Digital:

This device is used for things that you normally can't do in the real world.

Analog:

This device is used for work situations.

Who uses this device?

Digital:

Humans of all kind use this device.

Analog:

People that work at a job that requires them to use a computer.

How does this device work?

Digital:

Computers use a bunch of 1's and 0's to process and store data. The 1's mean on while the 0's mean off. The ones and zeros go through a bunch of logic gates (If statements, or statements, or and statements). Computers transfer data in digital signals. Although for speakers it turns digital signals into analog signals.

Analog:

They do mathematical functions using analog waves to help calculate.

Which one do you think is better?

Clearly the digital is the winner.

Since digital is much more efficient in signals and the fact there are only 2 values (One, and zero). It allows the computer to do much more impressive and complex tasks. Also now with digital WiFi or Ethernet is very fast and can load pictures and images in complex detail.

Please Note: The analog desktop is the newest analog personal computer. Analog computers have existed for a long time in the 1900's.

What computers look like.

Pros and Cons of Analog Computers.

Pro:

  • They are fast.

Cons:

  • They are not very accurate.
  • They lack memory.

Pros and Cons of Digital Computers.

Pros:

  • Lots of memory
  • Very Accurate.
  • Graphically pleasant
  • .Easy to use.
  • Not very big.

Con:

  • They don't do math as fast as analog computers.
In the end it looks like Digital Computers have more pros than cons. Therefor digital computers are better than analog.
