April - Spring is Here!
The month of March seemed to speed right by. The Northside staff is very much looking forward to spring weather and more time to spend outside in the warmer temperatures. I continue to be so impressed with the Northside team and their consistency with going well beyond the common of teacher for our students. Please thank them for what they're doing, and let others know the incredible things happening at Northside.
Students had a blast celebrating our Easter Egg Hunt and a STEM activity. Thank you to all of those who donated items to make this possible, including your time. We had a blast!
Please let us know how we are doing. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me. It's an honor to be in partnership with you. Happy Easter!

Do you want to spark a love of reading and learning at home with the best children's books? One of the hardest things for parents is finding quality reading-level-appropriate books for your child at home. Well, we have a great resource that does just that. The Best Children's Book website organizes books by a variety of categories, most important by your child's reading level.
Counselor's Corner - Mrs. Pascale
With PSSA testing right around the corner, here are some helpful tips to remember not just for PSSAs, but for all tests throughout the year:
- Make sure your child attends school regularly, so they are prepared when it comes time for a test
- Ensure that your child is well rested during regular school days and during the week of testing. Set a regular bedtime each night.
- It is important for children to maintain a healthy diet and exercise on a regular basis.
- Encourage your child to try their best without putting too much pressure on them.
- Remind them to use their academic strategies they learned in school.
- Teach your child to use positive self-talk, such as: I can do this and will try my best, I know this material, If I study, I will be better prepared, etc.
- Remember to tell your child how proud you are of them for trying their best!
