Montgomery ISD Board Calls for $326.9M Bond Referendum on May Ballot
On February 15, the Montgomery ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to call for a bond referendum for the May 7 election ballot. As a Montgomery ISD parent and community stakeholder, we want you to be informed on the details of the bond. Montgomery ISD is experiencing rapid growth in enrollment as new homes and housing communities continue to be developed in the community. Due to this growth in enrollment, the desire to serve all students through a comprehensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) program and address facility updates across the district, a 60-member Community Bond Task Force consisting of parents, staff, students and community members concluded that a bond was necessary. After months of meetings and reviewing information, members of the Task Force presented a proposed bond package to the Board of Trustees.
A district bond website has been created, www.misd.org/bond, and is a great place to learn facts about how the proposed bond program would support all MISD students across all ten campuses. The website has a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions, links to news stories that have been shared over the last several months, and information regarding property tax rates.
Below you will see a graphic that explains each item included in the bond package. If you have questions, you can email them to bond@misd.org.

School Hours, Attendance and Tardies
- Doors open at 7:50
- Tardy bell rings at 8:15
- School day ends at 3:40
We are working hard to maximize each and every minute our students are here. Students who arrive after 8:15 are considered tardy and will need to be walked into the front door of the building and signed in by a parent or guardian. If your child needs to leave early, they may be checked out through the front office by a parent or guardian.
Changes in transportation need to be made prior to 2:00 in order to allow time for the messages to be communicated with the appropriate staff member. To request a change of transportation, either
- Send a note with your child,
- Email LincolnElementaryTransit@misd.org with the note and a copy of your driver's license, or
- Come to the school with a copy of your driver's license.
