Man who saved 1,100 Jews through his business
What he is known for
Schindler was an industrialist during WWII. He saw an opportunity to help Jewish people from being killed in prison camps. His plan was to lie to the police about the ages of his workers to prove that they were essential to the war effort. He was illegally profiting from the labor of his workers. Schindler owned and ran an enamelware factory in Kraków, Poland.
