Memphis Kappa Alumnae Update

Exciting tech announcement!

Memphis KKG Alumnae Association has a brand-new, AWESOME website!

Marsha Berry is to thank for getting our new site up and running, with photos, links, and PayPal services. She has done an amazing job! Please, check it out and help spread the word: Memphis.kappa.org.

Look for our calendar of events and enjoy the many photos! While you are there, please scroll to the very bottom to log in and create a profile. Creating a profile will enable you to receive member-only access now and as our association adds more e-features in the months ahead. (Your "user name" is on the address label of your Key Magazine. It is the hyphenated, 6-digit number printed just above your name. Your "password" is your last name.)

Additional details: KKG HQs has taken a huge step to keep our Fraternity current with today's internet technology by signing on with Group Interactive Network (GIN, for short) Systems. GINsystems provides a state-of-the-art e-platform, website templates, and e-communication services for our entire national membership. Collegiate Kappa chapters are now REQUIRED to use the GINsystem platform. For alumnae associations it is currently optional, but our Memphis Alumnae Association is ahead of the curve by transitioning to its use now!

Our association will be able to add more GINsystem services as we like. Possibilities include an online members-only directory, newsletters, scrapbooks, and reference files (such as minutes and membership forms), "Literacy is Key" ticket ordering, and much more! Please, create your profile now, before you forget-- Thanks!

In other Kappa alumnae news...

Founders Day is just around the corner on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 12:30 pm at the University Club (don't forget to RSVP-- your check to Donna Dillon, Treasurer, is your reservation!). So now's the time to dust off your beautiful Kappa golden Key and other Fraternity jewelry! The Association will be honored to present 50-, 65-, and 75- year Kappa award pins, as we traditionally do, but did you know that there is also a 25-year Kappa pin available? It is a beautiful, exclusive iris design and our letters on an oval sterling silver emblem. If you have reached your 25th year milestone and would like to order one, please contact Herff-Jones, the official jeweler of the Fraternity.
