I publish these bulletins each week to keep all student org leaders and advisors updated on STARS stuff, frequently asked questions, and other important info to help you run a successful student org. If there's a topic you think I should cover, let me know!

Need to Know

STARS Workshop Etiquette

Here's a mid-year reminder of our expectations when you're attending STARS Workshops:



  • Come on time. Arriving late is distracting to your peers and disrespectful to the presenters.
  • Stay the whole time. We can't give you full credit for attending if you leave early. We'll conclude with 5-10 minutes to spare to allow for travel to your next obligation.
  • Log your attendance. All students in attendance should submit the online form to earn STARS credit. The link and instructions will be shared at the end of the workshop.
  • You may only represent one org at a time.



If you cannot honor these expectations, you are not the right person to attend the workshop. Please plan accordingly or find another person to attend for your org. Student Activities actively tries to stagger dates and times for workshops to accommodate various schedules. If you need more flexibility, please see our "Other Workshop Opportunities" section on our website.

Good to Know

Minors on Campus Policy

If your organization is hosting an event that would bring minors on campus, be sure to submit the Minors on Campus Registration form to the Office of Risk Management & Treasury for events that will have minors on campus 60 days in advance. Memorial Awards

The Memorial Awards applications are available. Please feel free to share this with your members and friends. These scholarship awards are open for all undergraduate students and the deadline to submit the application via Owl Connect is February 27th. Find more information and the application here.
