Weekly Bulletin 10/31/22 - 11/4/22
OUR MISSION is to cultivate a positive community of engaged critical thinkers.
OUR VISION is for all students to access high quality curriculum, engaging instructional activities, and a supportive learning environment,
WE ARE COMMITTED to closing the gap for our students who are below grade level while still ensuring that every student makes continuous growth each year.
REMINDERS FOR THIS WEEK:
- Halloween Costumes Reminder: Students are invited to dress up for Halloween on Monday, October 31st. All students must still adhere to dress code. No full face masks, no inflatables, no weapons or lookalikes, no blood, nothing with gang affiliation, or anything that violates our dress code. Students will still dress out for PE.
- Students need to use either the front or side gates when entering the campus in the morning. Please do not drop your child off in the staff parking lot.
- If you have not already, please review with your student our dress code and student handbook. After school detention will be assigned to students who violate school rules. We appreciate your support in keeping our campus safe and positive!

Thank you for supporting the 50% Duck fundraiser! Hutch’s share is $702.50! That is a very healthy start to establishing the Hawks Store. Thank you for supporting our students! The team page is still up and our sponsors are still listed. These are two local small businesses with personal connections at Hutch, so if you ever find yourself needing their type of service, I hope you are able to patronize their businesses:
Also, thank you to Gondola’s for hosting Hutch’s dine in/take out fundraiser! Hutch raised $300. Thank you again for your support! Gondola’s is another longtime, local La Mirada business, so their help is especially meaningful.
Monday, we’ll have Halloween treats for all the students! We’re also hosting a Movie Night in November along with ASB, date TBD.
Meet our PTSA Board!
My name is Denise Hughes and I am your 2nd VP in charge of Memberships.
I am a single parent, I work part time and my full time job is being a mother to my 2 beautiful teenage daughters!! One is a Hutch alumni, now in 11th grade, and my youngest is in 7th grade at Hutch. We love taking our dog Cooper to the beach, and going on road trips together. We also enjoy movie nights at home, cooking & baking, roller skating & going to Knott's.
I love my girls very much and have always been there to support them in every endeavor. I enjoy being a part of PTA because I want to plan fun activities for all the students and be a good role model to my girls. It makes my heart happy to see how excited my kids get when they see me supporting them and their school!!
PTSA is lucky to have Denise on our Board! She is dedicated, committed, and follows through. And, she’s such a great person and a lot of fun!
