See You at the Hoot!

Tonight's Halloween Hoot is bound to be a good time! Doors open at 7, admission is $5 per kid (max of $15). We'll have a DJ, dancing, fun, games and prizes for the kids in addition to our usual trunk or treating. Plus we'll do our drawing for the Amazon Echo Dot raffle AND a 50-50! See you there!

Donate Your Halloween Candy

This year, BGS is participating in Soliders' Angels! Through Soliders' Angels, we are collecting your leftover candy and sending it to our armed forces.

There will be bins by the gym for you to drop off your candy on Friday, November 1 and Monday, November 4.

Thanksgiving Feast Flyers Sent Home

Flyers have gone home for our annual Thanksgiving Feast, being held Tues., Nov. 19 at 11:30 AM. This BGS tradition provides our students with a fun, delicious and meaningful experience. The PTO will be hosting the feast during the four-hour session day with our cafeteria closed. Because this is a catered event, we'll need an accurate headcount of those participating. Forms must be returned by Nov. 9th, along with $8 cash or check made payable to BGS PTO, in order to participate. You can also pay via AtoZ Connect (go to http://login.atozconnect.com, the to Store -> Products -> Events to find the Feast payment option).

The PTO will ensure we have the main course (turkey and all the fixings), but we would appreciate donations of desserts. We'll also need helpers to set up, serve, and clean up from the event. If you can make a dessert contribution or help serve, signup in AtoZ Connect here: https://atozconnect.com/cls/events?vuft4517

Lastly, if you'd like to participate in our Thanksgiving Centerpiece contest (winner gets $25 to Shoprite and a treat for the kids), you can sign up here: https://atozconnect.com/cls/events?phiw7950

Read-a-Thon - Only Days to Go!

Our Read-a-Thon closes on Nov. 6, so be sure to record your final reading minutes and wrap up collecting pledges! As of Thursday night, we've EXCEEDED our fundraising goal and are sooo close to reaching our reading goal.

Congrats to the Week 3 winning team of fundraisers. The Spotted Owls raised $766 just last week alone between the Bears in Mrs. Shomers', Mrs. Fornaro's, and Mrs. Corrales' AM & PM classes. Our final week of competition between the classes is all about fundraising, so be sure to log all your reading and raising by Saturday night to count towards Week 4.

On Monday, we awarded bookmarks and reading duckies to new readers and raisers in last week. This coming Monday, we'll randomly award temporary tattoos to 50 lucky readers and raisers.

You can follow our Read-a-Thon progress and encourage friends and family to donate to the Read-a-Thon here: https://fund.whooosreading.org/school_orgs/bradley-gardens-school

Dine & Donate: Zinburger on Nov. 21
