Kabir Kadre - Adversity with Compassion
Student, teacher, father, friend.
As a student, Kabir strives to assimilate, through reading, discussion and practice, the evolving body of knowledge focused on human development from an integral perspective.
As a teacher, he guides and instructs his caregivers who assist him in navigating the world within and beyond a wheelchair.
As a father, he crafts an environment for boundless potentiality, opportunity, and possibility for an eighteen-year old daughter, aptly named Jett.
As a friend, he supports the generative contributions of a cadre of individuals drawn by his beneficence and his desire to nurture and share in the co-creative process.
Most of all, Kabir is an example of what it means to daily address adversity with compassion; to strengthen resolve with understanding; to birth knowledge in the crucible of a physical form impaired by paralysis. Ingenuity and technology serve as tools for circumventing many of the limitations thereof; patience is equal to meeting the remainder. Curiosity proves the chariot in which he expands his horizons; fortunately, for those who may enter his sphere of influence, he doesn't minds hitchhikers.
"Man is a transitional being, he is not final. Evolution is not finished; reason is not the last word nor the reasoning animal the supreme figure of Nature," observes Sri Aurobindo.
