Announcements for November 26-30, 2018
Reflection: In the best if times, holidays are happy times with loved ones, family and friends. In the worst of times holidays are lonely or sad, and we lament hopes that were never realized or what we have lost. We hope that during this holiday season that during the best and worst times, that you know that you are are appreciated and loved by so many- children, parents, the community, faculty, staff- and are an integral part of the PUE family. We encourage you to share with us your joys and triumphs and/or losses and regrets, as we move through this life, together.
Staff Holiday Social: Be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, December 6 for the annual staff holiday social at Chow.
Holiday Happenings: If your class has an activity for the holidays or a change in schedule, please get approval if needed and inform the office of any changes. Please be patient as spaces (the maker space, for instance) is unavailable due to PTA activities and music performances. Put your "best foot forward" as we have an increased parental presence in the hallways. Finally, please remember to adhere to WCPSS policies regarding religious observances and how we celebrate in the upcoming weeks. If you have questions, please see an Administrator.
Holiday Concerts: Kindergarten and 1st Grade holiday concerts are coming up. Check out the calendar below for track dates and times.
United Way Campaign: The United Way Campaign continues underway for WCPSS employees. Over the Thanksgiving Holiday you should have received another email with a pledge link. The campaign runs from November 7th through December 12th. So far $43, 148.60 has been raised. The latest raffle winners are listed in the email you received. If you pledge by Monday, November 26th, you may win two Hurricanes tickets, a $40 target gift card, or an electronic toothbrush from WCPSS. (Okay, so the toothbrush is sort of funny, you have to admit.) Please consider making a pledge today.
