Seventh Grade Poetry

Kylene's Poetry

About My Poetry

The seventh grade classes wrote poetry. It was a lot of fun to write these poems. I'm not very good at rhyming, so my poems don't rhyme a whole lot. Here are a few of my cheesy poems.

Poetry by Kylene Howard

Wonderful Summer

Green grass and warm sun.

Summer's my favorite season.

Have fun in the sun!

Summer

Cool pool on a hot day.

Nice cold drink, to make your thirst go away.

My birthday in July

Makes summer even better.

2 months out of school

makes it so much fun!

Iowa

I love this simple little state.

Only place I've ever lived.

Went to my first HonorBand.

And learned to write and to ride a bike.

Winter

I dislike winter.

The snow and the cold, freeze my fingers.

Fun at first, but then you dread it.

Beautiful in sight, but the cold is ugly.

Scooping the snow is boring and tiring.

Dressing in warm clothes is nice and comfy.

Enjoying the hot cocoa on blizzard days.

Waking up to a snow day is always fun.

Staying home all day, sledding on a hill.

Winter has pros and cons, I guess.

School Work

The girl had trouble on her homework,

so she went and asked the clerk.

He told her to add: one plus two plus three.

The girl understood, so she continued her work under the tree.

She finally finished,

So she vanished!

Kylene Anne

Kylene Anne

Was told she can

So she went to the moon

To search for a spoon!

Taylor Swift

I think Taylor Swift is the best.

Give rude comments a very long rest.

Her voice is music to my ears.

She's so much better than Britney Spears.

WHAT THE HAIRSTYLIST SAID TO THE WOMAN WITH SCARY HAIR

"Bear Hair!"

THE WORDS OF WHAT A MAN FOUND UNDER HIS BED

"Teeth Underneath!"

Lunch Special

Tortilla stuffed with tender beef.

Enchilada sauce spread over.

Topped with cheese.

Served with Spanish rice and

flavorful refried beans.
