SJCS Family Newsletter
March 2022
As we prepare for the season of Lent, I am always on the lookout for how to make this time meaningful and special for myself and for my family.
In case you are also looking for ways to increase your faith walk during Lent, check out these options:
- Sophia Institute Press just released a new Lenten Cookbook. It contains wonderful recipes as well as teachings about Lent written by Scott Hahn.
- Holy Heroes has some great kid-friendly (and FREE) Lenten resources.
- The Amen app (App Store | Google Play) from the Augustine Institute has a library of Catholic prayers and meditations including Stations of the Cross.
- Ideas for Giving, Praying & Fasting from teachingcatholickids.com.
- Blessed is She has a Lent 2022 Digital Download for women called All She Had. They also have a digital men's Lent Book called Born of Fire.
- Parousia Media is hosting an online Lenten Pilgrimage over The Seven Last Words of Christ from the wisdom of Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen.
I hope you have a wonderful Lent and may you draw ever closer to our beloved Lord and Savior who poured out everything for us!.
Go Eagles & God bless!

Online Registration Updates
All current families should have received an email from Mrs. Mishler with the instructions for completing the re-enrollment process for the 2022-23 school year. The email was sent to the primary email address on file.
We realize the change in the look of the tuition rate sheet changed from years past. It is our hope that the updated version is easier to determine the appropriate rates for each student in your family. With that change in appearance, we want to make sure to point out that the former parishioner tuition rate has been adapted to a $2000 discount to keep the cost of tuition manageable for our families.
If you are in need of financial assistance, please check out the Financial Assistance Information Guide. All returning student financial assistance applications are due by April 30.
Spirit of St. Joe's Celebration & Fundraiser
We owe a great dose of appreciation to the committee who worked many, many hours in planning and preparing for this event. It's our planning committee who make events like our Spirit of St. Joseph Celebration & Fundraiser a fun and successful night. We need YOUR time and talent when it comes to planning, organizing, decorating, seeking sponsorships, donations and more!
If you are interested in serving on the next SOSJ Planning Committee, please contact Sarah Badillo at sbadillo@stjosephbcs.org.
March Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Our students will have various activities and videos throughout the month to get them more knowledgeable in college and career readiness. If you have any questions about college and career readiness, please email Mrs. Kleiber at akleiber@stjosephbcs.org.
