QR Codes

i-nigma and QR Codes
There are many fun and creative ways to use iPads. One way is to create "secret" messages, assignments, or websites with the use of QR codes. If you don't have it already, download the free i-nigma QR Reader app from the App Store to get started!
What are QR Codes?
A QR code is a machine-readable code consisting of an array of black and white squares, typically used for storing URLs or other information for reading by the camera on a mobile device. Besides URLs, you can assign directions, images, or even sound to the code depending on which QR code generator you use.
How do QR Codes work?
In order to create a QR code to use in your classroom, you first need to go to a QR code generator. There are MANY of them out there. Just Google, "QR code generator" and you will find too many to count. I like using this one.
Once a QR code has been created, downloaded and/or printed, students will use the
i-nigma app to scan and read the code. The kids love it! It's like magic!
